General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung congratulated and encouraged the extraordinary willpower of world record holder Le Van Cong at the 80th anniversary of the Culture sector. Athlete Le Van Cong is the first Vietnamese athlete to win a Paralympic gold medal, as well as setting a world record in weightlifting for disabled athletes in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. In addition, he also won a Paralympic silver medal in Tokyo in 2020 and a bronze medal in France in 2024.
